Perhaps you need to refine your poaching techniques? Still probably more edible than my “tropical fruit”.

How lovely. Have you tried growing the seeds on?
I thought the seed clusters were quite sculptural. As the bulbs produce offsets and therefore all my plants are clones, I’ve never bothered with the seeds.
